50th Anniversary of the Consecration of the Abbey Church of Our Lady, Help of Christians, at Worth
The monks of Worth Abbey give thanks to God as they celebrate the 50th anniversary year of the Abbey Church at Worth.
On Saturday, 12th October, the Worth Abbey community joyfully celebrated the Patronal Feast Day of Our Lady Help of Christians. The event marked the beginning of a year-long celebration for the 50th anniversary of the Consecration of the Abbey Church. The Mass, held at 11.00am, was a beautiful solemn occasion, followed by a warm and welcoming reception. The Abbot and the community were delighted to share this significant milestone with all who attended. There was high praise for the Worth Abbey Choir who were in attendance at the Mass.
The year will end with the celebration of the Feast of the Dedication of the Abbey Church, on Saturday 12th July 2025. Between the two celebrations there will be a series of anniversary events. Visit our events page for further details.
