A Pilgrim with a Purpose: John Green Visits the Monks in the City
On Thursday 1st May the Monks in the City welcomed a delightful guest John Green (The Brother on the Bus) on his first night of a 40 day circumvention of mainland Britain.
John explained how he had meticulously planned his entire route using local bus services. The intention of the trip was to raise funds for the Hospital of St Cross & Arms house of Noble Poverty where he resides in Winchester. It was this Arms house that featured in Trollope's novel, 'The Warden' which was televised a few years ago. We wish him God speed for a safe and enriching adventure.
