Brighton Update: all the latest news from Monks in the City
The Brighton Community would like to invite you to join them at an Hour of Ecumenical Prayer for Brighton on Saturday, 7th June (Vigil of Pentecost)at 6pm in the St Nicholas Church, Church Street, Brighton
As part of the global Thy Kingdom Come prayer movement, they warmly invite you and your congregation to join them for an hour of prayer for their city. Thy Kingdom Come is a global ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus; Brighton & Hove has taken part in this prayer movement over the last few years. This year Thy Kingdom Come takes place between Thursday, 29th May and Sunday, 8th June.
Season 6 of Monks in the City has been launched and the dates and times of the events are detailed below:
Saturday Sanctuary, Saturday 7th, June, and Saturday 5th July from 10.10am to 12.15pm. Join us for a morning of fellowship, reflection, prayer and silence in the Fitzherbert Community Hub, (adjacent to St John the Baptist’s Church, Kemptown),
Midday Stillness (Season 6), Fridays from 2nd May to 11th July, 2025 from 12-1pm. Join the Brighton community for an hour of music, prayer and reflection in St John the Baptist’s Church, Kemptown.
Pray with us , Morning Prayer at 9am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Evening Prayer 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and at 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Special Vespers, Tuesday 24th June at 6pm, the Solemnity of St John the Baptist
