Changes to the Monastery Horarium from 24 August
From Monday 24 August, the Monastery Horarium at Worth Abbey will be revised.
These changes are being introduced to better support the rhythm of community life and to avoid a clash with Worth School departure times, which currently affects the use of the Abbey car park.
The revised timetable includes changes to the Midday Office, Conventual Mass, and Vespers, while all morning Offices remain unchanged.
Updated Horarium
Monday to Friday
Morning timetable unchanged- Matins at 6.15am and Lauds at 7.30am
12.30pm – Midday Office
5.00pm – Conventual Mass
6.30pm – Vespers
8.15pm - Compline (not on Thursdays)
Saturday
Morning timetable unchanged - Matins at 6.15am, Lauds at 7.30am and Monastic Mass at 9.00am
12.30pm – Midday Office
5.00pm – Parish Vigil Mass
6.30pm – Vespers
8.15pm – Vigils of Sunday
Sunday
Morning timetable unchanged - Lauds at 7.30am and Monastic Mass at 9.30am
12.30pm – Midday Office
5.55pm – 6.25pm – Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
6.30pm – Vespers
The revised Horarium will come into effect on Monday 24 August.
