Come as a guest of the monastery

Hospitality is an essential element of Benedictine monastic life.

All guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ, for he himself will say: I was a stranger and you welcomed me (Matt 25:35). Proper honour must be shown to all, especially to those who share our faith (Gal 6:10) and to pilgrims. (Rule of St Benedict, Chapter 53 vv. 1&2)

We welcome guests in our monastery guest accommodation, adjacent to our church and monastery for a few days of retreat and rest.

Monastery Guests are welcome to join the monks in church several times a day for their regular Monastic Prayer and Mass, and eat with the monks. Monastery guests are free to pray, read, or walk in the garden and extensive woodland grounds. Opportunities exist to speak individually with a monk.

Clergy in active ministry, in any denomination, are warmly encouraged.
