Celebrate Corpus Christi at Worth Abbey –on Sunday 7th June

The Worth Abbey community warmly invites parishioners, friends, families, and visitors to join us in celebrating the beautiful feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday 7 June.

The morning begins with Mass at 9.30am in the Abbey Church, followed by a joyful procession of the Blessed Sacrament at 10.30am, honouring this ancient and treasured solemnity. The celebration continues with Benediction at 11.15am, offering a moment of stillness and devotion at the heart of the feast.

After the liturgy, all are welcome to gather in the Narthex for refreshments at 11.30am. From there, we invite you to enjoy the tranquillity of the Abbey Estate by joining a gentle walk to the Quiet Garden, led by a member of the monastic community. This is a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty surrounding Worth and to spend time together in fellowship.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic and make the most of the peaceful grounds. The event is open to all, and we especially welcome families wishing to take part in this uplifting celebration.

As part of our celebrations, Prior Anthony will be leading a walk to the Quiet Garden, weather permitting, and we warmly invite you to join us. Please ensure you are wearing suitable footwear, as some of the paths can be slippery or uneven underfoot. If you have any questions about the walk, please contact Kelly at: kohara@worth.org.uk
