Dates for Your Diary – Autumn and Advent at Worth Abbey
As we look ahead to the autumn and Advent seasons, we invite you to join us at Worth Abbey for a series of occasions marked by prayer, remembrance, and preparation for Christmas.
On Monday 2 November, we will celebrate the All Souls Mass, gathering with the monastic community to remember and pray for the faithful departed. This is a time to honour loved ones who have gone before us and to commend them to God’s loving care.
On Saturday 28 November, Abbot Mark will lead an Advent Talk, Naming What We Long For: A Benedictine Advent. The morning will begin with a warm welcome and refreshments, followed by the talk, and will conclude with Midday Prayer and an optional light lunch. This offers a space to pause and reflect at the beginning of the Advent season.
Then, on Sunday 20 December, you are warmly invited to our Advent Carol Service. Led by the Worth Abbey Choir, this service brings together music, scripture, and reflection, offering a moment of stillness and anticipation as Christmas draws near.
These gatherings form part of the rhythm of Abbey life, moments of prayer, reflection, and community to which all are welcome.
