Guided Walks at Worth Abbey as part of the High Weald Walking Festival 2025
We are pleased to be taking part once again in the High Weald Walking Festival, which runs from 13 to 21 September 2025. This annual event celebrates the beauty and heritage of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with over 50 free guided walks taking place across Kent and Sussex.
Worth Abbey is proud to contribute to this year’s programme with two guided walks through the tranquil and historic Worth Estate.
Walk Details Dates: Tuesday 16 and Thursday 18 September Start Time: 10.30am (please arrive by 10.00am) Meeting Point: The Piazza at Worth Abbey
Led by Fr Patrick, these walks offer a peaceful and reflective journey through ancient woodland, landscaped gardens, and the wider estate. Fr Patrick will be joined by local experts who will share insights into the trees, wildlife, and natural history of the area.
Each walk will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours and includes some uneven terrain and gentle inclines. Participants are advised to wear sturdy footwear. Refreshments will be available from our Tuk-tuk on the Piazza before the walk, and all are warmly invited to join the Monastic Community for Midday Prayer at 1.00pm following the walk.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
These walks are free to attend but places are limited, so advance booking is essential. To reserve your place, please visit www.highwealdwalks.org
We look forward to welcoming you to Worth Abbey and sharing the beauty of the estate
