High Weald Festival – Second Guided Walk at Worth Abbey

As part of this week’s High Weald Festival, Fr Patrick Fludder led the second walk of the week through the stunning High Weald landscape at Worth Abbey and it was nothing short of magical.

We were thrilled to welcome an even larger group than Tuesday’s walk, with 26 walkers and friends joining us to explore the ancient woodlands and rolling countryside. The weather held beautifully, and everyone returned in high spirits, full of praise for the breathtaking scenery and Fr Patrick’s gentle, insightful guidance.

Many participants chose to stay on and join the monastic community for Midday Prayer in the Abbey Church, adding a peaceful and reflective close to the morning.

We’ve received some truly heartwarming feedback from those who attended  which I share below:

“It was a perfectly paced walk, with a great blend of history, nature and anecdotes. I’m sure everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Congratulations and thanks again.”

For our part, we really enjoyed the walk—learning all about the husbandry of the woodlands and the history of the area. I didn’t get a chance to thank Fr Patrick as we had to rush away, but he is a wealth of historical facts, which we found very interesting.”

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We’re so grateful for your presence and enthusiasm, and we look forward to welcoming even more walkers in the future!
