Explore the Worth Abbey Estate: Guided Walks as part of the High Weald Walking Festival
Tuesday 16th and Thursday 18th September, 10:30am, Worth Estate
Join us at Worth Abbey for two walks as part of the High Weald Walking Festival. Fr. Patrick, a member of the
monastic community, will lead these walks on the Worth estate. Please meet at the Piazza of the Abbey Church
at 10:00am for a prompt departure at 10:30am. Booking is essential via the HWWF website: www.highwealdwalks.org
Celebrating the Vision: 50 Years of Francis Pollen’s Worth Abbey Church
Saturday 4th October, 10:30am, Abbey Church
In the Abbey Church’s 50th anniversary year, we invite you to join us for a special presentation by architect Fred Manson, Associate Director Heatherwick Studio, in conversation with Abbot Christopher Jamison, Abbot President of the English Benedictine Congregation. They will help us explore the innovative design and historical significance of this remarkable building. The morning will start with coffee and a warm welcome at 10:30am, followed by a presentation and further engagement at 11:00am. The talk will end in time for a light lunch and an opportunity to join the community for Midday Prayer.
All Souls Mass
Monday 3rd November, 5:30pm, Abbey Church
As in previous years, the monastic community invites you to share with us the names of departed loved ones you would like us to pray for during the month of November. We also invite you to join us in person at Worth to pray for those we have lost in our All Souls Mass.
Advent Talk
Saturday 29th November, 10:30am, The Unity Room, Abbey Church
Join us for a Benedictine introduction to Advent. We will meet in the Abbey Church from 10:30am for registration and refreshments. We will then proceed to the Unity Room for a talk and further engagement with our theme. The morning will conclude in time to enjoy a light lunch and attend Midday Prayer at 1:00pm in the Abbey Church.
Advent Carol Service
Sunday 21st December, 3:30pm, Abbey Church
Celebrate the Advent season with us at Worth Abbey Pilgrim’s Advent Carol Service on Sunday 21st December, 2025. Experience the beauty of traditional and contemporary carols performed by the Worth Abbey Choir, along with reflections on the meaning of Advent. After the service, enjoy festive refreshments in the Narthex.
