Introducing Quiet Saturdays: A New Opportunity for Peaceful Reflection at St Bruno's

Due to the overwhelming popularity of Quiet Fridays, we are pleased  to announce the trial of Quiet Saturdays. These special days are designed to foster a peaceful environment of prayerful silence, offering you time to unwind, reflect, and deepen your awareness of God's presence.

Quiet Saturday Schedule and Details:

  • Arrivals: Optional attendance of Mass at 9:00 am, with the retreat beginning at 10:00 am in our retreat centre, St Bruno’s.
  • Purpose: Quiet Saturdays are designed to foster a peaceful environment of prayerful silence, offering you time to unwind, reflect, and deepen your awareness of God's presence.
    The Day Includes:A brief introduction followed by Lectio Divina (a meditative reading of scripture).
    A monk will be available from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm for a spiritual conversation.
    The opportunity to join the monastic community for Midday Prayer at 1:00 pm in the Abbey Church.
    The day concludes with a gathering for tea at 2:45 pm, ending at 3:00 pm.
  • What to Bring: Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
    Come and embrace the stillness, find solitude, and discover the peace that silence and prayer can offer.
