Worth Abbey Pilgrims

Abbot Mark and the monks of Worth Abbey invite you to join Worth Abbey Pilgrims, a network of friendship and fellowship centred at Worth Abbey, offering opportunities for deepening our Christian faith, travelling together in prayer and service, and offering a warm welcome in the Benedictine tradition to all our friends and those who are discovering Worth for the first time.

Here are two important dates for your diary:

Worth Festival; The Beauty of Worth, Bank Holiday Monday, 29 August 2022, 1.00-4.15 pm

On the August Bank Holiday Monday , Worth Abbey Pilgrims  invite you to join them at Worth Abbey for their Festival.

The estate will be open to to visitors, parishioners and friends.  All are welcome. Celebration starts at 1pm with the Midday Office led by the monks in the church. The Abbey Church will be open throughout the afternoon for prayers, periods of silence and music. The event will end just after 4pm.

The afternoon will include guided tours of the estate; including the school, St Bruno’s, our wonderful Retreat Centre and the Abbey Church.  There will be opportunities to meet the monks and to learn more about the history of Worth Abbey and life at the Worth Abbey today. Refreshments will be available all day on the South Terrace overlooking the Weald and the South Downs. The Retreat Centre will be ready to welcome visitors.
