Noting a Special Day in Worth’s History
Today, the 10th September, marks two significant anniversaries in the life of our community:
On 10th September 1957, Worth became independent from Downside, beginning a new chapter in its spiritual and communal journey.
On 10th September, 965, Dom Victor Farwell was elected as Worth’s very first Abbot, a moment that shaped the leadership and vision of our monastery
As we remember these anniversaries, Abbot Mark asked that God continue to bless this community, its many endeavours, our benefactors, supporters and friends, and especially those vital staff and volunteers without whom so many good things here at Worth would be impossible.
