Preparing for Montecassino 2029: LCSB Benedictine Study Day in Norwich 17-18 July
As the global Benedictine family looks ahead to 2029, the year that will mark the 1500th anniversary of the foundation of Montecassino, the Lay Community of St Benedict (LCSB) continues its programme of annual Benedictine Study Days designed to help deepen understanding of the Rule of St Benedict and its relevance for today.
Following the success of last year’s inaugural gathering, LCSB will once again host a summer Study Day. The theme for this year is “Awaken with a Rule of Life,” building on insights from 2025 it will explore and share the benefit of the Rule of St Benedict for Christian discipleship. It is hoped that this focus on formation will appeal to those at different stages of their faith journey and be of significant help to those both living out and discerning their way of life.
The event will take place in Norwich (17 -18th July) enabling participants to attend an exhibition on the Rule of St Benedict in the City's Sainsbury Centre.
