Special Mass of St Benedict in London
We are delighted to advise that a special Mass of St Benedict has been planned in London this summer. It will take place on Friday, 11th July at 7:00pm in the Church of Notre Dame de France, located at 5 Leicester Place, London WC2H 7BX, just off Leicester Square.
The Mass is being organised by Dom Leo Maidlow Davis, from the Community of St Gregory at Buckfast Abbey. It will be presided over by Abbot Christopher Jamison, President of the English Benedictine Congregation, who will also preach during the celebration.
The Mass and gathering respond to a growing interest in finding meaningful ways to carry the values and formation of a Benedictine education—first received at school—into the various stages of adult life.
Following the Mass, there will be an opportunity to meet informally, to get to know one another, and exchange ideas on how better to support Benedictine education into the future.
