Through the Wilderness - Lent day retreat led by Eddie Gilmore

Eddie will explore some of the key themes of Lent, including how the wilderness can become a place of encounter, beauty and renewal. He will also offer practical suggestions for personal prayer as we begin our Lenten journey.
The day will include opportunities for silence and reflection in the stunning surroundings of the Abbey, time to connect with others, and space simply to pause over a cup of tea or coffee. Eddie will also lead some simple Taizé chants and share one or two of his own compositions, adding a contemplative musical dimension to the day.
Tea and coffee will be available throughout the day. Please bring a packed lunch.
For those who wish to attend, Conventual Mass will be celebrated in the Abbey at 9.00 am. Tea and coffee will be available from 9.45 am in Compass House, followed by a formal welcome at 10.00 am.
Families are very welcome. Activities will be provided for children during the day, making this an opportunity for people of all ages to prepare for Lent together.
